About the Job:
We are currently looking to hire a Director, Target!
The Director will manage and orchestrate sales resources to grow the Horizon Organic Dairy and Wallaby yogurt business across Target. Build and execute customer/category plans that support customer goals and achieve targets (volume, gross-to-net, and distribution). Ensure leadership and cross-functional company efforts are involved with developing the customer relationship (e.g., bring in category, shopper marketing, supply chain, etc.) Manage sales team across the fragmented scope (across customers, across categories, etc.) by deploying the right talent, influencing the customer appropriately, and contributing to the company internally.
The role can be hybrid or remote with a preference to be based in Broomfield, CO.
This role may be responsible for, but not limited to:
Create and own customer strategic plans and understand how to manage the P&L
- Develop and manage an annualized business plan
- Ensure strong impactful category insights and shopper activity is activated
- Own and Support sales process activities
- Own customer and internal team’s joint business planning process
- Ensure internal stakeholders are engaged to drive success at customer
- Work closely with sales planning to ensure customer forecast / demand is accurate
- Identify when plan adjustments are needed based on sales volume and trade spend reconciliation
- Oversee trade spending, promotional programs, shopper events, spending across the brands to ensure targets are met
- Provide ad-hoc reports and presentations to sales leadership
- Ensure in-store execution performance is meeting expectations
Build a meaningful strategic partnership with customer
- Cultivate and manage a profitable relationship
- Own the development and selling of innovation, planogram reviews, and merchandise planning
- Execute T2T and engage sales leadership
- Develop a clear understanding of customer’s organizational / decision making structure to maneuver effectively
- Deliver customer business reviews and category performance updates
- Develop and maintain a JBP partnership with execution with customer leadership quarterly
Knowledgeable on how to work cross-functionally within an organization
- Human resources, sales finance, customer solutions, demand planning, go-to-market teams, customer planners, senior leadership team, etc.
People and team development
- Manage and develop dedicated sales analyst
- Execute performance reviews, development plans, onboarding, coaching, mentorship
The base compensation range for this position is $150,000 - $190,000 commensurate with experience.
About You:
- 4-year business degree
- 6-10 years of progressive experience in sales potion within CPG industry
- Prior experience with owing a major customer
- Exposure to other sales sub-functions (category management, shopper marketing, retail, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to achieve breakthrough results through the course of work
- Strong team leadership and management skills
- Ability to attract, develop and maintain high performing team
- 30% travel
