General Summary
As the Worn Wear Repair Tech, you are responsible for sharing the work of operating sewing machines and working with the Tour Manager to process repairs intake and prep during the event. You must be an expert in Patagonia products including construction and repair. As our ideal candidate, you also possess excellent customer service skills and are a positive communicator. Patagonia Reno DC/retail/wholesale experience is preferred.
What You’ll Do
- Repair garments, including Patagonia and other brands, during the event.
- Work with other Repair Techs to manage in and outflows of repairs.
- Notify customers when their repair is ready to be picked up.
- Coordinate with Tour Manager and Reno to ship products back to the DC for repairs.
- Track repair reporting for Tour Manager.
Who You Are
- Maintain composure under pressure and be adaptable and flexible to changing circumstances.
- Ability to work with different people within the team and as partners.
- Understanding and communicable comprehension of the Patagonia and Worn Wear mission.
Experience You Bring
- 5-8 years of direct experience with repairing clothing, sewing, stitching, etc.
- 5+ years in customer experience-facing role.
- Have extensive knowledge on the repairability of our products following company guidelines.
Physical Requirements
- Must be comfortable with at least 75% travel
- Must be able to travel utilizing various transportation methods
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Continually able to lift up to 40 pounds from the floor to a waist high table
- Continually able to walk as job dictates
- Continually able to kneel down to floor level
- Comfortable climbing ladders
- Continually able to do fine and medium hand manipulations
Compensation:
At Patagonia, pay ranges are assigned to a job based on the location specific market median of similar jobs according to 3rd party salary benchmark surveys. Individual pay within that range can vary for several reasons including skills/capabilities, experience, and available budget.
