We are currently looking to hire an IT & OT Systems Support Engineer!

The IT & OT Systems Support Engineer helps ensure the smooth operation of Horizon Organic’s manufacturing plant. You will be responsible for managing incoming requests and providing support for IT & OT Infrastructure. You will also help coordinate and perform maintenance, updates and changes. The role is on-site Monday through Friday at our Salt Lake City facility.
Together with the IT Infrastructure Manager and the rest of the IT team, you will provide support, maintenance, and evolution of Horizon’s IT and OT infrastructure.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Provide support and maintenance of IT & OT systems (including PC, LAN, and manufacturing automation equipment).
- Diagnose and resolve issues with hardware and software, ensuring smooth and reliable operation of manufacturing equipment. Maintain accurate records of system configurations, modifications, and troubleshooting activities, including electrical schematics and other relevant documentation.
- Manage hardware inventory & lifecycle.
- Oversee onboarding and off boarding of employees.
- Provide staff training/orientation for standard systems.
- Train end-users in maintenance techniques when called to troubleshoot or repair equipment.
- Assist in diagnostics, repairs, and rebuilds of machines, partner with engineering or others on non-routine repairs and defect handling solutions.
- Calibration of new and existing instruments, control valves, controllers, etc.
- Monitoring and troubleshooting of control loops, instruments, and/or entire control systems.
- Identify solutions to reduce customer issues and reduce system errors.
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree with 3 to 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination.
- Demonstrated experience with Azure AD (Entra ID), Microsoft Intune, Microsoft 365, MS Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Familiarity with support and troubleshooting of IT and OT Infrastructure.
- Able to read, modify, and troubleshoot through PLC and HMI codes.
- Professional certifications as appropriate.
- Solid understanding of Microsoft AD/Entra ID, M365, and Intune Autopilot.
- Proficiency with Rockwell Automation software platforms like RSLogix 500, & 5000, FactoryTalk, and familiar with VFD’s and HMI’s.
- Experience with Operations Technology (“OT” - Manufacturing IT) is strongly preferred.
- Comfortable wearing many hats and working with a wide array of IT technologies.
