What You Get to Do:
- Work closely within the softgoods team to support creativity, innovation, and inspiration within collections and design projects relating to the overarching creative direction
- Brainstorm with the design team to build innovative ideas based on future trends and consumer needs
- Presenting out ideas, concepts, and sketches in conjunction with category direction
- Assist design leaders to ensure seasonal color, trend, material, and graphic alignment are executed within the line according to seasonal guidelines
- Partner with merchandising and development teams to ensure designs meet the business needs & margin targets that support brand goals
- Ensure proper handover of completed tech packs and trim developments to development according to timelines
- Creating and maintaining color roundups and color merch grids throughout the product creation cycle
- Participate in proto reviews and fittings to ensure products are commercially ready and consumer relevant
- Add color to BOMs at various times throughout the season
- Assist in designing special projects throughout the year – from brand collabs to rider-driven projects to special events and milestones.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and specialty teams within Burton to better our consumer understanding and product offering
- Engage with riders at all levels (from pros to weekend warriors) to better connect to the needs of the rider and stay on top of the ever-changing culture within snowboarding
- Continue to learn and grow as a designer under an experienced team of design professionals

What You'll Bring to The Team:
- A degree from an art/design-related program, with 2-4 yrs relevant softgoods experience
- Ability to effectively communicate and visually articulate concepts and creative directions
- Ability to work on projects with multiple timelines and remain calm under pressure
- Self-motivator who can work independently as well as collaboratively
- Expertise in the use of Adobe Creative Suite and Figma
- Solid understanding of outdoor and snow industries with a passion for snowboarding

The hiring range for this role is $55,000-$62,000, depending on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, and available budget. Please note that the range details above reflect the base pay only and does not include any potential bonus and other benefits that we offer. This is an on-site role, based in Burlington, VT and will be required to be on site at Burlington HQ at least 4 days per week. We will offer relocation assistance to move to Vermont to any candidate who is hired.
