About the Job:
We are currently looking to hire a Senior Procurement Manager, Co-Manufacturing! This role works closely with both internal and external partners to identify, create and execute strategies and projects with Horizon’s manufacturing partners to deliver significant cost, quality and delivery performance improvements. This role leads commercial negotiations, manages complex contracts, mitigates supply and financial risk, and partners cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, R&D, Finance, Marketing, and Legal to ensure capacity, cost, and service alignment with business objectives.
This position is based in Broomfield, Colorado with an expectation of 3 days per week onsite and expected travel of 25% at times.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and executing the co-manufacturing sourcing strategy aligned with network, capacity, and growth plans.
- Leading and developing strategic contract manufacturing relationships with key partners through structured SRM roadmaps.
- Creating, aligning, and leading negotiation strategies with contract manufacturers. Developing proper legal and commercial framework for business needs which may include NDAs, MSAs, amendments, and Statements of Work.
- Developing a thorough understanding of our core business operations and innovation roadmap. Identify and map co-packer capabilities to align with partners who can best support both our foundational needs, innovative projects, or wholistic efficiency/cost improvements.
- Interfacing with internal & external partners to identify quality, processing and supply chain issues, cost reduction opportunities and collaboratively pursue solutions.
- Onboarding new strategic contract manufacturers and working with internal teams to create and implement optimal network solutions.
- Running competitive sourcing events (RFPs/RFIs/RFQs) for new and existing manufacturing partners to ensure that Horizon maintains best-in-class sourcing.
- Managing the annual budget for the category spend and driving initiatives for cost reduction, cost avoidance, and inflation mitigation.
The base compensation range for this position is $125,000 - $140,000/year commensurate with experience.
About You:
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (Business, Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, etc.), MBA or related master’s degree preferred.
- You will have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in procurement and strategic sourcing, preferably in CPG beverage/food supply chain procurement.
- Ability to take initiative with little supervision, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated cross-functional leadership and influencing skills.
- Strong commercial business acumen and passion for process improvement.
- Proven experience in contract negotiation, category management, and SRM.
- Significant experience in identifying and delivering productivity projects.
- You have experience in commercialization/launches of new products.
